Cold & Flu Season
Winter
months represent the peak for cold & flu season. Encourage
children to get regular exercise, plenty of sleep, and eat a
nutritionally balanced diet to help them stay healthy.
Children are also reminded to :
* Cover their nose & mouth with a tissue when they cough or sneeze- throw the tissue away after use
*
Wash their hands often with soap & water, especially after they
cough or sneeze. If water is not nearby use the instant hand sanitizer
gel located throughout the school building
* Avoid touching their eyes, nose, & mouth, since germs often spread this way
Parents/Guardians are reminded:
*Children
with fevers of 100 degrees or greater should be kept home, and must be
fever free for 24 hours without using fever- reducing medications before
returning to school
