QUALITY WRITING HAS: connection to audience, compositional risk, advanced, appropriate vocabulary, transitional expressions, specific organization, rich detail, complete, developed examples, figurative language which appeals to senses, and closure. 

 

Writing styles explored in this class:  Persuasive, explanatory, speculative, narrative, expository, cause and effect, and comparison/contrast. 


     Students do not have any homework for this section.  Currently we are developing writing samples for each style of writing: narrative, argumentative, and informational.

     Students should read their compositional risk packets for sentence variety in writing.
