After learning about different types of government in class today, we're going to apply that knowledge to the current situation in Syria, and how it affected one American, James Foley. This is a 4-part assignment which should take between 15 and 25 minutes.

Writing Prompt: Why do you think that Assad (President of Syria) and the Syrian government were so outraged by a few photographs? Do you think what happened to James Foley in Syria could ever happen to a journalist here in the U.S.? Why or why not?
